Okay, I had to answer this question, because I LOVE ORANGE COUNTY, CALIFORNIA. I was raised there for 24 years of my life, which is all of my life. I just recently moved to the Midwest, close to Michigan, due to marriage, and my dream is to move back to the OC with my husband. I have been trying to convince my husband to move to the OC, but it seems like these Midwest guys are too comfortable here. The weather is soo different compared to Michigan. No snow, no icky driving conditions, no freezing weather. The OC is beautiful because of the beautiful scenic highways, the mountains, the beaches! Yes, its warm but at the same time, the beach is like no more than 20 minutes away, so you get this really nice cooool breeze! It is expensive (compared to the Midwest), but once you go there, you will think its sooo worth the money, and jobs are not difficult to find because its soo diverse there and people are really laid back. I went to the University of California Irvine, and Irvine is by far the best city in the OC. Its clean, friendly, and theres so much to do and so many places to visit, the list is endless. And if your thinking about Phoenix, after visiting it, I thought its a great place too, but its warmer than the OC, and theres no beach breeze. Imagine going to work passing Pacific Coast Highway everyday! Also, I love California in general, so if you move to the OC, you'll also be able to meets lots of people all throughout Cali, including the exciting city of L.A. I'm the biggest Cali fan and I especially love the OC and would move back there in a heartbeat. If you want excitement in your life, plus great quality living, OC it is. Also this might help: Go to http://www.orangecounty.net. Good Luck!

Pittsburgh. The Steelers are here and the cost of living outside of Allegheny County (20 minutes out of town) is dirt cheap.

Mullets are required.

Stay out of California. There are too many people. The price of real estate is too high. The traffic is too much. The hills near by are being plowed under for housing.

Come to Chicago! I love living here...and we got the Bears, Sox, and the Bulls (forget the Cubs). Seriously, you can't beat Chicago...the city is great and you just have to experience it yourself.
