I was playing the game and my dad barged into my room and said that i'm watching the kids, my mother didn't feel well. She said she felt "odd" and cried a little. They went off to the emergency room a few hours ago. Before that she was perfectly fine. Just complained about being hungry since she hasn't ate in hours.

What could be wrong?? I was thinking that she got hit with the flu but i'm not sure. Really nervous.. and anxious.

SATURDAY-CHECKING BACK WITH YOU: How is your Mom? Is she doing better?
******************************

Are they still at the hospital? Can you call, if they are?

If she hasn't eaten, her blood sugar could be fluctuating wildly .. and boy, with that make a person feel weird.

It is the right time of year for flu .. stomach flu could hit hard, and with very little notice. It could make her light-headed, queasy, nervous .. viruses and bacterial infections have a wide variety of symptoms.

I don't know how old your Mom is .. but, ah, could she be pregnant? Early stages of pregnancy can make a woman feel off-center without exactly knowing why...until she's had a pregnancy test.

Perhaps she's just stressed .. does she work out of the home and take care of the family? Or just get overwhelmed by chores?

Remember, too, this is January .. and it is very, very common for people to get the blues this time of year. It can be just winding down after stressful holidays. It could also be SAD ... Seasonal Affective Disorder, also known as Winter Depression. If she has been indoors a great deal, her body will be craving sunshine, and the health benefits it gives. (There are specially made light bulbs that operate in the same wavelengths as sunshine and provide incredible therapeutic benefits for the winter blues.... that's how common the disorder is!)

I understand your worry, but stressing and worrying will not help her or you. Your best bet is to sit tight ...stay occupied and upbeat...while you wait out the diagnosis. Then do whatever you can to help your Mom recover.

And prayer works .. truly. Offer a little prayer for her health .. and for your peace of mind. It takes only moments and can make an incredible difference.

My prayers are with you.

Hey kiddo don't panic till you get more news. Times when things like this happen you have to stay calm it could be something as small as the flu like you said, hang in there God speed a fast recovery for your Mom.

Ok, it could be anything, so stay calm until your parents get home. The flu is going around and can really affect people in a bad way. So hang in there and keep yourself occupied until they get home.
