Jumping from a plane the first time is an experience that puts your brain in overload.

One part of your brain is saying: I want to do this, I want to experience the rush, go for it!

Another part of your brain is saying: what the hell are you doing here you big eegit?

Another part of your brain is screaming: AHHHHHHHH!!!

I you are doing a tandem jump ask for the video! Its deff worth paying the extra money for it. And prepare yourself to be Warped!! The tandem jump is the simplest of skydiving jumps since all the responsibility lies on the tandem master but its very enjoyable nonetheless. The only thing you need to do is listen to your tandem master and enjoy the ride! (try to keep your eyes open.)

If you are doing an AFF jump prepare yourself for 6-8 hours of training where most of this time you will be learning what can go wrong! Malfunctions, emergency drills, etc etc. Don't be put off by this, its worth the waiting.
It this case, some responsibility is with the instructors that jump with you but ultimately you have to rely on yourself and what your training taught you. Don't do any fancy stuff and stick to the jump plan!!

At the end you will either hate it or love it, no middle term, but my experience tells me that more people love it than hate it!

Ultimately its a feeling that cannot be described and it changes from person to person.

One thing is for sure, you will never, EVER forget it!

Enjoy your jump
Blue skies

Wear something comfortable. If you have a pair of smooth bottomed shoes(old broken in skater shoes) wear those. When you're landing, you dont want your shoes to have too much grip...seen a couple people break an ankle. If you need corrective lenses, wear contacts, or get a good retainer strap for your glasses(you can still wear them under the goggles. Pay attention to everything the instructor says, dont panic, and HAVE FUN! You're about to have a near-life experience!

Look at the camera (if you get video) and smile! Have fun! there is nothing else like your first dive! Pretty soon you'll be hooked (that's what happened to me) and you'll be doing it for a living!
