I would say tampons as long as you put them in right. You can't even tell your wearing anything. Its very uncomfortable if there not put in right, and Pads UGH! they feel like diampers, can 't stand um.

I use both.
I use tampax tampons during school and at night, and during the day if I am going somewhere or if my flow is heavy that day.
Always (the new clean kind with the little wipe) pads for lighter days or when I am at home. I wear a pad with my tampon though, gives me a better sense of security.
Wearing just pads though is something I haven't be able to do except on the 1st and last 2 days of my period. Very uncomfortable and it makes me always worry.

I don't use tampons because I've always used pads. Plus, there's a greater possibility of getting an infection via tampon (though small, but still there). So, I use Always pads. They're my favorite brand... Kotex isn't that great for me.

I like to use tampons because the pad feels like a diaper. Another downside to the pad is that it has a tendency to slip out of place and then I am self conscious and wonder if anyone can tell if I have it on. The downside to the tampon is that they have a tendency to leak and then I have stained myself.

Tampons if the outfit requires but otherwise pads.
Tampons can cause toxic shock syndrome which can be fatal. Is it worth that risk?

I use tampons,I just don't feel all that comfortable w/ pads,but alot of people are just the opposite,and I usually use Kotex!

Tampons. Tampax pearls are the best. I can wear one of them for 10 hours straight without any fuss. Try them, they work!

Personal opinion - tampons are too uncomfortable and run too many risk.
Pads - I am more in control and much more comfortable ..... lots to choose from too.

I like kotex and Always.
And I started a few months ago and can't use tampons yet.
