Lets say I'm interviewing a rock star... What should I not forget to ask?

What you want is gossip and information. What your subject will be doing will be naturally defensive.

You want to ease them into relaxing. Then you want to slowly push the boundaries.

Try avoid the "topic of the hour" EVERYONE will be asking the latest sensational topic and your subject will be sick and tired of the subject and giving an answer for it. (Which will put them off on the whole interview).

There is no KEY question, because an interview is as unique as the person being interviewed (or at least a successful one should be).

I saw on Oprah, someone asked Vince Vaughn, "Who makes you nervous?" or I would ask, "What makes you nervous?" Another one I saw was one asked here on YA, "If your story started today with Once upon a time....how would it go?"
