Yeah, I have a Jack Russel terrier. He's really cute, but a lot of work. If you're willing to take good care of it and have patience for it, a dog is probably the best pet. If not, don't get one. They can be a real pain. Birds are good pets, noisy though. I went to the pet store the other day, and a lady said that rats were actually pretty good pets. :/ Hope it helps.

Yes, I have always had dogs. Sometimes as many as 6, but now just one. Before you decide what dog to get, go to a shelter and look around. Mutts are just as good as any high-priced pedigree. Go to www.akc.com. Its not always necessary to have a pure-bred dog, but it will give you an idea what type of dog to look for. They have a link on their page .. look for it... its there, about what dog is best for you. It will ask questions about your lifestyle, how many hours a day you would be able to be with the dog. It will ask about how interested you would be in gooming. And most of all.... can you afford to be a responsible pet owner? Consider spay/neuter costs, regular vet visits for vaccinations - and emergencies, city and/or county requirements for registration, food, housing and creature comforts. Being a good dog-parent is a full time job... not just when its convenient for you. That animal will be your responsibility and depends on you for its well being, health, and happiness.

ya i have 2 pets their both dogs, if you want to get a dog i would recommend getting a Welsh terrier, there great dogs and fun to be with. good luck

I have a dachshund (weiner dog). Dogs are great...you definitely should get one.
