even though you gave the option of "anywhere" in space as well, i would still choose earth.
if i was able to go back in time, i would rather i was able to relive my life - to stay in my body, and live from age two onwards.
sure, my parents would know something changed about me, but i'd really like another go at it
------
i would never think of changing certain historical events that affected the world, because then i won't even know the world that i came from. i will not have lived and experienced the changed future that i caused - possibly won't have even been born.
example - if that horrible hitler never came to power, then my great great grandmother's family never would have fled germany to eventually meet her future husband. and i, in turn, will never have been born

I would like to travel through time to many dates and places.
Past:
I would travel back to April 20, 1889 in Braunau am Inn, Austria and kidnap Adolf Hitler and raise him right. Well, maybe not kidnap him, I would buy him.
Travel back to January 2000 and tell the FBI, CIA, Military, that there will be a terrorist attack on September 11, 2001. It is likely they wont believe I am from the future, so I will take 8 winning lottery numbers from January 2000 with me and that will hopefully prove I know the future. I would also tell them of all the major things I remember seeing on the news. Oh and also the Columbia shuttle tragedy.
I would like to go back to the beginning of time, and maybe I'll hear God say "Let there be light."
I would also like to go back to the day when my little brother fell off the chair and busted his mouth. I would watch over him all day and night long and also watch over him the following week when he tripped and broke off his loose tooth.
Future:
I would like to go to the year 3001 in Mars and see if people already live there.
I would go from February 2007 to May 2007 and collect winning lottery numbers, come back to the present, play the numbers and donate the money to charities, since I already had won the lottery 8 times in 2000 and would need a big tax break, but mainly because giving feels good!

I would go back to about 4 BC and go to Bethlehem and find the stable where Jesus was born and give him Darwin's "The Origin of Species" (Translated into Aramaic of course). I'd start teaching scholars about the solar system, the planets, evolution and medicine. Then I'd come back and see if I'd made any difference.

Garden of Eden - around day 5. Then I could tell the silly evolutionists "Yes, I did see how mankind started..."
