Sounds like you can handle it--but you know, we'll be expecting a full report :-)
As far as good nights to do spooky things, Walpurgisnacht (or "Walpurgis Night") is another good one. It's April 30th, the exact opposite side of the year wheel from Halloween, and supposedly the veil between the living and the dead is equally thin then. Just FYI.

The next Friday the 13th is in April. And Halloween is just a day like any other day like the 13th. Nothing is scarier about those days. If it were up to me to determine which day is scarier, it would be the winter solstice. That day is full of ghost and from my experience, they really show their colors around that time.
Also, ghosts don't really like it whenever you go to cemeteries. They get really pissy especially since you're expecting to see one. I don't even like to go near one because the energies there just make me think twice about stepping foot there.
Ghosts are usually everywhere and you just have to have the feeling to know where they are. My husband and I are like magnets when it comes to ghosts. They come to us and like to mess with our things in the house all the time. I hate it when they do that, but what can ya do?

Some cemeteries have hours that you are not supposed to be in them. The one by my house is you may enter from Dawn til 8pm. And the cops will haul you out if they find you because a lot of people go to break headstones and such. Be quiet and respectful and don't disturb anything. I would hate to go see my mothers grave to find that someone had stepped all over her flowers.
I don't think any specific calendar day is important. You could try looking at a lunar schedule to find full moon nights and other things like that.

Ghosts don't hang out in cemeteries. Ghosts haunt places where a death occurred and it's rare that a death occurs in a cemetery...Just empty bodies are buried there. Find an old house or a spot on the highway where an accident has occurred if you'd like to possibly see a ghost. And it doesn't matter what time of year or day or what season...Time is irrelevant to ghosts.

if you really want to see ghost.. go to a haunted house or an old house that has not been occupied by anyone for years, but i don't think ghost hunting is a good idea especially if you disturbed them. They might follow you or haunt you in your dreams.
