Because people are saying it's racist... well, how else can i say it?

If i want to know the best White Reciever, then I'd have to put down the word "White"

If i just say "Who's the best reciever in the nfl?"

It's obvious that its going to be someone black, right?

So would i be racist to ask that, if so, then tell me what i can say inplace of "White"

No, of course not. It wouldn't make you racist. Since when was the word "White" banned from usage?

You want to know who the best White wideout is, and the only way to know is to put the word "White" within the question so they don't mention someone black because its clear that blacks are better recievers throughout history.

If somebody thinks your being racist when you clearly just want to know the best white wide reciever, then that person is just either...

1- Not paying attention to the question
2- Is rude
3- Wants to start an argument
4- Has a lame mind and can only think about racism when they hear the word "Racist"

I guess whether the question is racist would depend on the context in which the question was asked.

Just as a general question, I don't think its racist. Skin color is a physical characteristic to which people attach socio-political emotions. Frequently, those attachments are deserved; however, in the instant case, the question seems to be pretty neutral. I doubt short people would be offended if you asked who the best receiver over 6 feet tall in the NFL is.

And to answer your question, um. That's a tough one. Joe Jurevicious used to be great back in his day; Brandon Stokely was having some solid seasons with Manning before the injuries. Right now, I'd have to give it to either Mike Furrey of the Lions (who blew up the Cowboys last week) or Wes Welker of the Miami Dolphins. Welker is one of the most versatile players on the team. While not the biggest guy physically, he plays 2 feet taller than he actually is; he's got a lot of intensity. If he ever develops, Matt Jones of the Jacksonville Jaguars could be a beast of a receiver, but he hasn't really flourished as much as some had expected.

Mike Furrey however, if he hadn't been injured all year, Brandon Stokely of the Colts would probably be the best. I look for Drew Bennett of the Titans to emerge next year with Vince Young as the QB.

The Brain, you know nothing of football. Matt Jones is one of the worst WR's and Furrey isn't even in the top 10 of best wide recievers this year: Larry Fitzgerald, Roy Williams,Chad Johnson, Reggie Wayne, Marques Colston, Anquan Boldin, Steve Smith, Torry Holt, Marvin Hrrison, Lee Evans, T.J. Houshmanzadeh, Donald Driver and Jevon Walker are just a few that are better than Furrey. Furrey is a number 2 WR, a possesion type while Matt Jones didn't even have 500 yards this year.

No, no, no, young lady, the real ignorance is cast by those who call you a racist.
However, the motive behind your question is of significant importance .... Why you want to know will probably answer the question of whether you have some, uh, racial issues.

So to the question, valid as it is: The best White Receiver is Mike Furrey of the Lions, who also happens to have been one of the best receivers of any color this year.

The most talented white receiver is unquestionably Matt Jones of Jacksonville. He runs a 4.4 40-dash and stands 6-6. He is like a white Randy Moss, he just has not yet been as productive.

For history, until the emergence of the incomparable Jerry Rice it was generally accepted that Steve Largent, a white man, was the greatest WR to ever play. He retired in the early 1990s.

Hope that answers your question. As for my favorite receiver (maybe the best), that's Chad Johnson. He's black, but he has a bright blonde mohawk!

The answer is Matt Jones. Kobewas69, you're a conehead. Jones had 643 yards on 41 catches, leading his team in yards, despite essentially missing or being useless for one-half the season due to injury. When healthy, he's already near pro bowl caliber, and he's only been a WR for 2 years of his life.

However, asker, you are clearly an outrageous cracker for acknowledging that some people are white, enjoy your Klan meeting Grand Wizard!

...I dont think its racist until you say that "It's obvious that its going to be someone black, right?"...and even then its boarderline racist because its pretty opinionated. But, if you want to know who the best WHITE wide reciever is, then i dont see anyway to ask that question without bringing color into it...so i dont think there is anything wrong with that question...and i'd have to say Mike Furrey for the Detroit Lions is the best WHITE reciever...

I don't think it's racist...... the only other way to ask the same question might be who is the best non-black receiver.

If you didn't add your explanation then it would not be racist. But since you added that it was "obvious its going to be somebody black" you revealed your true racist background.
