It depends. First make sure the type of files the MP3 player can play and download. I know the Ipod can play a lot of different audio files. But if the cheap one plays the files you have, then I would go with that one.

a good rule of thumb to remember when buying on ebay....you get what you pay for.....so the cheaper mp3 player would of course last a shorter time than the ipod....i would recommend the ipod but if you cant afford that then i would thoroughly read all of the information before buying...hope this helps......good luck!

What brand is the knock-off? I'd stick with the Apple version. Also, apple has refurbished iPods on their website. I'd trust that before I spent that much money on eBay.

It's probably not 8gb. Sometimes sellers that are from the east will say they're from britain or something. But are really from hong kong. You know china. Anyways read their feedbacks. I always check that first. I wanted to get one that said it was 4 gb but alot of people said it was only 1gb. If they have good feedback then go ahead!

I'd stick with apple, which has a one year warranty which comes with the ipod.

First of all, you need to let us know what the brand is that you're thinking of buying...but as I always say, you get what you pay for with electronics.
