A biography is in third person
An autobiography is always in the first person perspective that is why it IS an autobiography because it is the actual person discussing their own experiences.

They should be written in fisrt-person. It is the author's life afterall. Although I have encountered autobiographies written from third-person, and yes I'm sure they were autobiographies and not biographies.

usually in first person, since the author is writing about him/her self. That doesn't mean it HAS to be in first person. (i'm trying to think if i ever read an autobiography in third person)

Autobiographies are written in first person because in first person they are referring to him or herself.

My first instinct is to say first-person. However, you could create some interesting effects by shifting around the POV in the account... depends on the audience or assignment, I suppose.
