It was Sunshine's birthday, and I wanted to surprise her so I invited a few people that I thought she may enjoy seeing. I was walking to answer the door and I heard someone say "Please don't take it wrong when I tell you that I believe that Tom, while a very nice guy, is the Devil." It kind of stunned me to hear this from Brittney.
When Geroge drove up , I was shocked, it wasn't a car, it was a battering ram, that he was driving. This was what Patton drove: I hollered "Hey you, soldier! Follow Us! I'll show you where to park that thing."
Antonio Banderas and Melanie Griffith, his wife came and shucks, I had sent my autograph book to the cleaner, so I couldn't get any autographs tonight, and all these celebraties was here just for Sunshine's birthday..
Finally Sunshine arrived (a little late, but she just though we were going to a movie and dinner, boy did I have a surprise for her. Then Christy Lane got up and started singing happy birthday and I know! I mean she was coughing her brains out, and still she had to keep singing! When she finished, we realized it was all the smoke in the place that caused the problem. When she got some fresh air and a drink of water she quit.
Well, the party wasn't over yet, they wheeled out a gigantic birthday cake and Sunshine was so flabbergasted that she couldn't speak (what a shock, haha). Then the top popped open and out jumped the love of her life, none other than Marshall Matt Dillon alias James Arness, and Sunshine just stood there while he sauntered over to where she was standing and planted a lip lock on her that wouldn't quit. When he was done, he still held onto her, because she was in shock. When she finally came somewhat to her senses, she just looked at him with all the love in her eyes that she had held for him for 58 years.
This was one birthday that she was NEVER going to forget.
This left us speechless, quite speechless I tell you, and we have not stopped talking of it since.
And what really topped her birthday off, was James took her home. (and of course stayed with her for quite a while, maybe he is still there. God, James and Sunshine only knows.)

Dear Chelsea,
Well, Tom and I are really going to do it this year. We're throwing a birthday party for Samantha, and we want to make it really, really special. She doesn't know a thing about this, so I want you to keep quiet about it whenever you see her.
We've decided that we want to rent the small ballroom at the Regis Hotel and have everybody dress up fancy for the party. We've got this orchestra lined up that Henry Dorchester used when he had that party for his parents' fiftieth wedding anniversary, but we don't have a singer yet. Tom and I went to hear this pretty little thing who was performing at Club Chez Chez, and let me tell you, this girl was not well, I mean like really sick. You're not supposed to sing when you're sick, right? I know! I mean she was coughing her brains out, and still she had to keep singing! And her performance was great! It left us speechless, quite speechless I tell you, and we have not stopped talking of it since. I figured if that's how she sings sick, we're going to hire her! I went up to her afterwards all gaa-gaa about her voice. Shucks, and I sent my autograph book to the cleaner.
We're going to pick Samanatha up in a limo with a driver and everything. We went to check out this white outrageous thing that was the longest car I'd ever seen. When he saw it, Tom yelped, "It's not a car, it's a battering ram. This is what Patton drove: 'Hey you, soldier. Follow us!" Let me tell you, the limo owner was not amused! Please don't take it wrong when I tell you that I believe that Tom, while a very nice guy, is the Devil. He bargained and bargained with that poor limo owner and got it for us for half the price the guy started out with!
I have lots more to tell you about the party. Why don't we do lunch on Friday? Ok, I'll meet you at the place near the thing where we went that time. It'll be fantastic!
Looking forward,
Amanda

As soon as Linda left the room, the four of us leaned in conspiratorially. "When?" I asked. "An hour," Jake answered. "Formal?" Katy whispered. "Nah," Tom shrugged. "OH! Pax." We nodded sagely and sat back, acting as if nothing had transpired. Little did Linda know we were throwing her a surprise birthday party - it'd be a great surprise, as her birthday wasn't for over a week - that we were going to have at Linda's favorite restaurant. As Tom had informed us, Linda was indeed coming back. Linda returned to the room, and despite our spectacular efforts at nonchalance, she somehow knew something was up. "What were you guys talking about?" She raised an eyebrow skeptically. "La Boheme," Katy threw out the first thing that entered her mind. "Used in the movies," I added to the story. "I like that line Cher says after they go see it in that movie... what does she say?" "Oh, she says, 'I know! I mean, she was coughing her brains out, and still she had to keep singing!' Am I right?" "That's the one. And what about that line in Kate and Leopold, huh?" "Leopold," Katy sighed, putting a hand over her heart. Tom snickered. "Whereas Jake and I were talking about cars. Speaking of cars," he said as a brilliant idea came to him. "Come see my newest!" We followed, myself and Jake slightly interested - Tom always bought interesting cars - but Katy and Linda choking back boredom. We walked out and finally saw what Tom had been driving - he had arrived last to Linda's, so we hadn't seen yet. Hard to describe the feelings the car inspired... the sheer awe... or repulsion, on Katy's part. How can I best describe the sight... It left us speechless, quite speechless I tell you, and we have not stopped talking of it since. It was one of those old clunkers, but beautifully restored to a gleaming finish. I thought it was beautiful, myself, despite the fact that it was taking up three quarters of Linda's lawn. "What on earth is that thing?" she gasped. "My car!" Tom gushed with pride. "It's not a car, it's a battering ram," Linda laughed. "Hey! This is what Patton drove." With that, Tom and Jake hopped into the car. Linda and I eagerly followed - she's always up for an adventure, and I love riding around in old cars. Katy, however, needed some prompting. Tom cried out, "Hey you, soldier! Follow us!" in his best Patton impersonation. She shrugged and got in, though we could tell she wasn't comfortable without seatbelts. We drove off in the direction of the restaurant, enjoying the trip immensely. All was going well until Tom let loose what seemed like a scream and pulled in to a small diner's parking lot. "What's going on, Tom?" I asked, poking him to remind him that he was going off track here just a wee bit. "I saw Raquel Welch! She just went inside!" He cried as he parked the car and leapt out. "Give me something to get her to sign!" I patted my pockets and griped, "Shucks, and I sent my autograph book to the cleaner. What would Raquel Welch be doing, here?" He didn't answer, just dug around in his pocket and produced a pen. "Aha!" He yelled. "Victory!" With that he dove inside. The four of us just sat back and sighed. I looked at my watch. Our reservation time was rapidly approaching. I looked back at Tom. He would evidently be a while. I decided action had to be taken. "Wait here, guys," I said as I got out of the car. I went up to the diner, went inside, and gasped in amazement as I saw Tom was indeed talking to Raquel Welch. "Wow, it's really you!" I couldn't stop myself from uttering. She smiled and kept on listening politely to Tom's starstruck babbling. "Tom? We've got to go if we're going to make it on time." He - get this - dismissed me by saying "I'll catch up, ok, I'll meet you at the place near the thing where we went that time," and continued his conversation with Raquel. I growled, grabbed his keys, and stomped back to the car. "Anyone think they can drive this thing?" I asked, holding out the keys. Jake leapt into the driver's seat and started the car. "What's up with Tom?" Linda asked as I climbed back into the car. "Please don't take it wrong," I replied, "When I tell you that I believe that Tom, while a very nice guy, is... the Devil. He just is. And apparently George Spiggot is having a fun time talking to Lust." "Is that really Raquel-" Jake began. "Just drive!" Katy slapped his shoulder. "We're running out of time." "Time?" Linda asked. I sighed as we sped off. But I refused to tell her yet. We arrived at the restaurant and managed to make our reservation. She was thrilled at the surprise, and we had fun - especially when Tom arrived... with Raquel Welch as an extra gracious guest. Too bad Paddy hadn't gotten to come too, he would have loved it.
