416 carries, the most ever in the regular season, and no bye week for the playoffs. How much longer do you think he can hold up. He definitely doesn't look 100 percent these last couple weeks, but it also doesn't look like he's totally running out of gas. I'll give him one thing, he's one hell of a work horse.

Yeah, incredible workload. The 400+ carries club is pretty small. Dickerson had 400 once. James Wilder of Tampa got 400 a couple times in the mid-1980s.

Johnson will be 28 this year. I think he is the best pure, pound it out back in the NFL. He'll be good next year and for a few more, but I don't think he'll ever get 1,700 yards again.

Still, he was pretty incredible this season. The Chiefs have NO DANGEROUS WIDEOUTS, meaning everyone stacked up to stop Johnson, and he brought the lumber week in and week out. LJ is bad.

The Chiefs need some wideouts and more emphasis on the passing game. Edwards has a history of wearing out running backs, example is Curtis Martin. Johnson is good, but can't hold a candle to the previous RB that the Chiefs had, Priest Holmes, a much more diversified runner.

I hope not for the Chiefs sake because him running the ball and eating up the clock will be key to the Chiefs having a chance in this one.

That he has been but look at the history of recent workhorse RBs....Jamal Andeson (Atlanta) and Terrell Davis (Denver) being the most recent. They do pay the price for the wear and tear on their bodies...i.e. sort careers.

agrred, but he will be fine, larry has experience, and as a football player you are trained for this kind of endurance... he won't be as good at L.T. But L.J. will be fine.
