For the last few months I have been exhausted all the time. I can get a full nights sleep and just feel drained all day. I have been very emotional as well. I cry at the dumbest things. I am 23 and not pregnant.

The only way you will know is if you go to the doctor and have that checked but, it could be alot of things not just thyroid. Have it checked out soon.

I am not sure if it is a problem with your thyroid--although that can be very serious. My cousin had a very horrible problem with her thyroid and ended up passing out at work and being taken to the ambulance--only to have surgery a few days later.
Have you lost/gained any weight during this period? To me it sounds alot like Depression? Do you think this would be accurate? If I were you I would think about what is going on in your life now that is different from before ie stress, relationship problems, job issues, etc. If there is nothing different then I would look into possible physical problems but many of your symptoms point toward depression.
At any rate see a doctor and explain your symptoms. You don't want to risk anything serious and I am sure you would like to feel better than you have been!

Sounds like you could have an underactive thyroid or hypothyroidism. Go to see your doctor as soon as possible. Have them give you a thorough physical and blood tests. I have hypothyroidism and I have been on meds for 4 years. I still feel drained all the time. Good Luck!

If you think it may be your thyroid ask for thyroid testing. Make sure it's a morning test, as TSH is at it's highest while we sleep, so you want to test as soon as you can upon waking. Another thing find out he number result. A TSH over 2.0 with symptoms is a sign your thyroid is slowly down. I'd ask for a TSH, Free T4, Free T3, and an antibody test, as one test could show you are hypo and another questionable.

There could be many reasons that you are feeling fatigued in addition to hypothyroidism regardless of the amount of sleep:
--Anemia
--Sleep Apnea
--Electrolyte disturbance
--Infectious illness
There are many more; in fact, too many to even go over thoroughly. To put your mind at rest, you should see your doctor and get a full panel of lab tests done including a TSH.

Go to your Dr. and ask them to do a TSH and T3 and T4. Afte they check out these levels, than they will be able to help you. Good luck.. I have hypothyroidism and felt the same along with tons of other problems. So make sure that check theses levels to ruled it out.
