I WOULD CALL THE WEATHER BUREAU AND EXPLAIN YOUR SITUATION. THEY WILL DEFINITELY BE ABLE TO TELL YOU HOW SAFE IT WILL BE TO TRAVEL. I WOULD ALSO SUGGEST THAT YOU TELL THE PREGNANT WOMAN TO GET ADVICE ABOUT TRAVELLING FROM HER PHYSICIAN, BEFORE PLANNING ON LEAVING. IT'S A FAIRLY LONG TRIP. AS OF NOW, THE NORTHWEST STATES MOSTLY HAVE SNOW AND ICE, ACCORDING TO THE WEATHER REPORT. ALSO YOU MIGHT SIGN UP ON YOUR COMPUTER FOR "NORTHWEST WEATHER ALERT" I'VE DONE THAT AND GET "HOT" WEATHER REPORTS ON FLORIDA, EVEN THOUGH I LIVE IN NEW YORK.
HOPE I'VE BEEN HELPFUL. GOOD LUCK TO THEM. P.S.
I JUST RECEIVED A NOTE ON "ANSWERS" FROM A GAL WHO LIVES IN COLORADO. THEY HAD A BIG BLIZZARD THERE ON DEC. 20TH, AND LOTS OF SNOW AFTERWARD PLUS MUCH ICY WEATHER. THOUGHT YOU'D LIKE TO KNOW THAT. ~~~

Dry roads most of the time. When it snows , most of the roads are clear and dry. The plows do a good job and the strong sun finishes them up. Our average annual snow is only 60 inches. Ben here 20 years and only have a front wheel drive car. never had any problems.

The weather will be lovely. Mid-forties and no snow or ice on the roads. It will be sunny and clear and the roads are fine (the side and residential roads are still snowy and icy but I assume you'll be on the highways and main roads which are clear.

All I can vouch for is that assuming there isn't any more snow, the roads should be just fine sailing through Denver

I heard something about a deadly blizzard... expecting 12 feet of snow... golf ball sized hail... .01 mile visibility.... and a warming by the U.S. government that driving in the entire rocky region is deadly...
