Serious answers only----but I've always wondered why spicy foods are just as hot coming out as they are going in.

I've never experienced this, or heard of anyone else who has ... I wonder if it's normal, or if it's something you should talk to your doctor about?

I'll try to find time to do a websearch and edit my answer if I come up with any legit info for you.

(edit) I found a website with some discussion amongst other people who experience this problem:
http://www.poopreport.com/Ask/end_the_burn.html
Some "solutions" some of them have include:
drink milk right after eating the spicy food to neutralize; a couple people say yogurt works; another says cheese ... there are other suggestions that I'm not going to discuss.

Someone on the poopreport also says similar to other yahoo answers, "What makes spicy food hot, is a substance called capsacin. It is likely that the capsacin stimulates the perastalsis in the bowels, much like senna or casacara sagrada."

My ex-roommates and I experienced this in our old, culinary-adventure phase, and they all concur:

Spicy foods that involve hot peppers are very acidic, and the "heat" you feel in your mouth/elsewhere is actually a chemical burn that you won't get with less acidic foods like citrus.

The oils in the pepper seeds are not always water-soluble and presumably can travel throughout the digestive system, all the way down the alimentary canal.

Hence: Feel the Burn!

One suggestion I can make is that since it is a Ph (acidity) issue, you can combine your eating with a more base or neuutral- Ph food like rice or milk or yogurt ( i personally prefer frozen). That way there is somewhat less chance of the acid hitting your delicate tissues.

in the beginning, LOL. Sorry, I had to do this. in any case, right here is what you're able to do, any between right here: Have a chilly glass of milk Have 3 tspn bitter cream have faith me, the dairy neutralizes the spiciness, a minimum of you're able to have some alleviation.

hahaha this is a funny q. When you eat spicy foods they have a lot of pepper, or other spices, and not all of the pepper gets digested into fat or nutrients... so it comes out of you feces and it burns just like if you would stick pepper flakes up your bottom lol

the stuff that makes food spicy (capsicum) is still in your digestive system as it exits the body and so you feel the effects when you go to the bathroom....sometimes it's really painful.

Seriously, you should see a doctor--- I do not know of anyone that has that problem and my family loves Mexican spicy foods.

You probably have a ulcer from eating hot foods and it eritates your colon.

capsaicin does not get digested, so it clings to your anus on the way out and burns
