I had a baby in July and I just got my first period in December. If you breastfeed it will make you not have a period for awhile too.

I had light bleeding until about 10-12 weeks and was very worried about it too. Talk to your Dr just to be sure but it Should stop soon. Are you breast or bottle feeding? That (breastfeeding) can make a difference. Your hormones stimulate small contractions in your uterus to shrink it back to pre-pregnant size and can cause some light bleeding for a while and/or sporadic to no periods after the postpartum bleeding stops. I don't get my period at all now and it's kind of nice :-)

If you have an IUD, that itself will make your period probably disappear altogether. That is a great thing too! Did you get Mirena? Yes it's normal btw. It took me 3 months to have a normal period too & I wasn't on the IUD right away.
