I wouldn't worry about that at all.

It takes a thousand megabytes to equal up to one gigabyte. Most computers these days come with a minimum of 20 gigabytes, with each song being between 3 and 5 megabytes a piece, it would take a LOT of songs (well into the thousands) before you'd have to start worrying.

that's not too bad
1000 megabytes is 1 gigabite.
170.5 is pretty good for 43 songs
it shouldn't slow down your computer
i have 3 gb of music on my computer that's not what slows it down you shouldn't worry about it at all

The amount of hard drive space your taking up has no effect on the speed of your computer. Auxiliary storage (your hard drive) can slow down your computer, but only in odd circumstances.

I had over 5,000 songs on my laptop. Don't worry about it.

it doesnt at all. I got 809 songs and over 3 gigs and it doesnt slow down my computer at all. but really, it depends on how much RAM your laptop has. if it has at least 512 MB, you're fine.

and actually, its 1024 MB = 1 GB, not 1000.
