Daniel James has a nice ring to it but Ally Elizabeth almost has too much glottal stop because of the vowel-vowel sounds at the end of the first name and the beginning of the 2nd (although I'm a sucker for double-L names!!). How about Ally Marie, or Ally Suede, or Ally Melinda (works better with a Consonant next to a Vowel sound rather than the harsh collision of the Eee and Eh sounds) Ally Belinda? Have a wonderful pregnancy and may you find every right answer when you are raising the baby!! But then again, you could call her "Aleeah" for short if you went that route!

The most important thing is that they fit with your last name! My middle name is Elizabeth and I LOVE IT!!! It is a classic name with such a regal sound to it. Ally is beautiful too. Daniel James has a good sound to it, as well. The number of syllables are very complimentary.

I dont like names that are, what i like to call, "plain Jane" names. I like something that when you say it its sort of unique. Like I named my daughter Anaya, and when I have my son in february I will name him Ayden. It depends on alot too. Ally seems ok....but Daniel and Elizabeth aren't cute names in my opinion. But then again, I am just one person. It depends on what you feel. Can you go their whole lives calling them that? If so, go for it! Its your decision hun, you shouldnt worry about what others think about YOUR baby's name. Its whether you like it or not. Hope that helped some on your decision. :*

The boy name is fine.
For the girl, I would name her Allison and ally would be the nickname. Elizabeth is fine.

Do what you like. Listen to the way they flow with your last name. Initial are important too. You may not want Frederick Allen Thompson. F.A.T. Just do what feels right. Think of the child.
