It's a little difficult. You can study the math, science, etc. sections of the test with the books that are available, but really the ACT is much less "studyable" then the SAT. You either know the stuff or you don't.

You could buy Kaplan Test Prep books. They contain examples of all the types of english, math, and science questions on the ACT. The ACT is not extremely hard. It is based more on specific facts that you know rather than reasoning like the SAT. I think the SAT is easier though because even though the answers are not obivous, with a little reasoning you can figure out the answer to any question. But on the ACT you need to know some facts and formulas to perform well. I would say study the science strategies and question types the most. When you take the test, you will think you flunked the science completely it is so complicated. But when you get your scores it will be a huge surprise! You will make higher than you think you did.
hope this gives you some insight.

I am taking the ACT as well, and I am studying the subject I have the hardest time with: math. It is the Satan's diary, I swear. But, the English vocabulary is very important as well. At Barnes and Noble, they sell SAT and ACT flash cards for the vocabualry. There are millions of books on the ACT, but of course a majority of them are'te really an interesting read. About two days ago, I discovered this website called quia. com that had games on ACT and SAT vocabulary. They were kind of dull, though. You would probably do better by going to ask.com or google.com and typing in ACT vocabulary games or ACT math games and see what pops up. I haven't of course taken the ACT yet because us juniors are taking it in April. It seems hard from the way people talk of it because colleges look seriously at it and also your background. Some students may have a perfect ACT score and not get into college because they aren't very well-rounded. Try to get involved in as many activities as you can during the summer to make up for lost time. Start saving money and take both the SAT and ACT. People say you can take one or the other, but i personally think you should take both. I don't know how much money it costs to register, so start saving now. If you have any info, just email me at kiarrasartwork@yahoo.com because I need more info too.

The ACT is the easiest of the tests i think. It is composed of 4 sections, Math, English, Science, and History. So i should study more on the subjects you have the hardest time with. I would recommend Science or History since in the SAT you are given Math and English questions so you have a preview of them.
