My laptop has a widescreen monitor. I want to set my pictures as my desktop background, but it stretches them out and makes them look all weird. How do i fix this???

first u right click on ur dekstop n select properties ....then u may select the option dekstop...n at right hand side theres an option of positions..u may click on it then choose 4 the option of stretch n then click on apply ..u ll see that it gets spread on ur dekstop background..........this is the most simplest way..

You should have three options pertaining to desktop backgrounds.

1) The stretch option

2) Tile option

3) Fit to screen option

Try the fit to screen option first, However depending on the pixels and image size you may get some distortion. Only way to correct this, Is learn to set your pixels higher on your dig cam, and locate a cropping program that can walk you through cropping your images to the screens size.

cut off the top and bottom with photoshop (computer widescreens are all 16:10 ratio) or download some widectreen wallpapers. i have a widescreen myself, and i totaly sympathise! its so hard to get good wallpapers for these things :-/

Try taking photos that are large in pixels. Like 1001by 1021

I even have many "grimy %." that i've got been despatched with the aid of the years, some on Yahoo some from others. i might in no way positioned them on my laptop, they are saved secure from prying eyes, for me to lust over whilst i elect.
