This is the equation I am having troble writing as ionic and net ionic equation.

3BaCl2 + Al2(SO4)3 --3BaSO4(s) + 2Alcl3

Look at your products. You have written BaSO4 as a solid. You get this information from a table of solubilities. That means AlCl3 remains in the solution. The ions which remain in the solution are the spectator ions and are not written in the net ionic equation. Cross them out of the original equation and you will have your net ionic equation.

3 BaCl2 + Al2(SO4)3 ---> 3 BaSO4 (s) + 2 AlCl3

3 Ba 2+ (aq) + 3 SO4 2- (aq) ---> 3 BaSO4 (s)
