Okay I think my friend jus broke up with her boyfriend but i'm not completely sure. She listed herself as single on her Facebook page but she hasn't on her MySpace. Also she still has pics of him posted on both Facebook n' MySpace but she took all the pics of herself off. Also I should add that this was a long distance relationship. But she put as her Facebook status that she was "dead". What should I make of this and how do I cheer her up? I know she just wants to be alone because i went to see her 2day but she wouldn't open her door to talk to me. I also should add that I have actively been pursuing her since her "supposed boyfriend" lives hours away. We are great friends. We both like each other but we could never get any further than friends because she had a boyfriend already. I don't want her 2 feel as if I'm preying on her at her most vulnerable time. In any event, how do I let her know that im there 4 her in a friend, wanting to be boyfriend manner, without coming on 2 strong?

Send her some really funny emails, like "I wanted to pay my respects, but you haven't posted the funeral visitation times?" or, "Should I send flowers, or would you rather see that money go towards your favourite charity?"

The whole idea is to get her to laugh, and maybe realize that there is life after breakup.

But don't push her too hard. Maybe if you show up at the door with her favourite junk food? Or a large carton of her favourite ice cream?

And otherwise, just be there to listen. Her long distance relationship was more perfect than real life, because it mostly took place in her own head. Hopefully she will finally realize that, and look your way to get in touch with "reality".

OH....and it's a well proven, scientific fact that eight heartfelt hugs a day combat depression. Don't ask me how they came up with the number, but it was something published in medical journals a few years ago.

Tomorrow's Horoscope: Although the intensity is still settling down, you might be on edge today. You have been sucked into an emotional drama that is at the edge of your comfort zone, but there's not a lot that you can do to avoid it. Oh, sure, there's always the next flight to Timbuktu -- but what will you do once you get there? Forget about escaping. Sink into your feelings with the assurance that your mood will change and you'll soon be back to your buoyant self soon enough. Also, the moon happens to be in Cancer at the time, and it is a very emontional time for EVERYONE. Because the moon is in cancer, you must watch for everyones emotions, moodiness, and also other traits which cancer often reflects. Today, would be a good day to get some hot cocoa (if it's cold) or some chilled water (if its hot), and just relax and watch tv.

hugs are always good. being a girl myself, i love hugs, tehy make me feel better. ask her to tell you about what happened and analyze the problem. just talking helps usually. say things like

"that guys stupid for dumping you"

and compliment her and stuff.
