try doing a system restore. Keep tapping F10 while your computer is starting up. System Restore will make your computer just like it is brand new. Be sure to unplug the internet from the back of your commputer before doing this. Note: System restore erases any files you have downloaded so you might wanna write the files you want to keep on a disk. SYstem Restore doesn't erase the programs that came with your computer when you bought it

if its xp, which it sounds like it is.... clean out your msconfig. click start, run, type msconfig. click ok. look at the tabs across the top. click on the startup tab. uncheck anything that doesnt have anything to do with your antivirus scanner or firewall. then click on services, scroll to the bottom and uncheck automatic updates. click apply and close. the computer will want to restart. let it do that. when it comes back up you will get a message saying you have made changes to the configuration. check the box and hit ok. if you arent sure what something is you can go to www.answersthatwork.com and click on their task list. look up whatever you dont know about.

Sometime my computer run slow because I have too many things open as the same time. I delete history and used the internet clean up. I don’t know much about it, but this help me some.

Try this it worked for me. Plus its fast.
1. Click the start menu
2. Click Run
3. Type in msconfig and press "OK"
4. Click on Services top right, next to start up.
5. Click on "Hide all Microsoft Services" (Programs needed to run windows)
6. Click on "Disable all"
7. Now click on Startup (top right)
8. Disable All(Disabling all Stupid programs not needed to run windows.
9. Click Apply then close.
10. It will ask you to restart for changes to take effect. "RESTART" You will notice the difference as it boots. If no Difference. More than likely Hardware issues.
