Have you considered the fact that maybe you really can't sing well? Maybe these people aren't "hataz" but actually care about you and don't want to see you get laughed at. That being said, ask someone you really trust about their honest opinion of your ABILITY--not your desire to be a star, but whether or not you can even actually sing-- and take it from there. If they say yes, then keep practicing and go for it one day!

It is fine to have a dream but don't neglect your education in the process,and think about the fact that you have to start at the bottom before you can reach the top, so sing your heart out at church ,sing for your friends,and research everything about your dream the good and the bad and weigh it out carefully

go for it but don't be afraid to fail. you may not make until after a couple of tries. maybe American idol? that may not be what you want. but you never know until you try. follow your dreams but never give be to hard on yourself if you don't make it. know that you did your best and that maybe you can give a little more each time till you make it. me too, i wanna be a star, u know, singer but i dont have the support from any of my family members and my friends laughed everytime i said i wanna be a star. so just ignore em' and try hard to achieve it.

IF YOU WANT THAT DREAM , THEN MAKE IT COME TRUE AND WHO CARES WHAT OTHERS ARE SAYING. MAYBE THEIR DREAMS DIDN'T COME TRUE. BUT YOURS WILL. IF YOU REALLY WANT IT. SO GO FOR IT.
