Take your water hose and hose the dog down. I had to do this to one of my dogs and thank goodness the dog had short hair. I got bit several times but i used my water hose and my hand. Then I took the dog into the house gave him a bath and then gave him a dose of benadryl and then kept an eye on him for quite a while. you can usually give a dog a dose of benadryl for this and for allergies. It is 1/2 milligram for every 10 pounds of body weight. I have an australian shepard/birddog mix and i think she weighs about 15 pounds. I use a whole benadryl on her. I cut it open and sprinkle it on wet food and she eats it.

I would say submerge it in water and if you have it ,add some soap to it. you have to be careful they dont all run straight to the head though if you submerge the animal in water so soap up the neck first
