I totally agree with you. In fact, I don't think it wrong to think you are a whole lot better than other people. I have worked very hard to become accomplished, and I am proud of what I have achieved. It bothers me when other people don't go to any trouble to do anything with their lives.
Cheers to you for working to make this world a better place!

It depends on if you're recycling and becoming a doctor and going to volunteer with your time- just for show. It depends on if you're just trying to 'look like' the politically correct ideal person, or do you actually care about ecology and healing people, and/or are you just trying for the doctorate to make more money so you will be more comfortable or do you want more money for status? Or both? Somebody can be better than someone even if he doesnt recycle or have the time, money, or freedom to continue being a student until he/she's almost 30. Better is all very relative, I think.

Well, it is neither right nor wrong. But it will certainly affect how you interact with people and eventually, people will begin to see you riding on your high-horse and be put off. We are not here to judge. We do not know why others do or do not help or volunteer or go to graduate school. Not everyone values the same things in their life, we all get pleasure and satisfaction from different things and I think it is important to respect that. Changing the world is a difficult feat to accomplish, and many people make small contributions that go unnoticed...

It's wrong to think you are better than other people. We need to be a more humble and forgiving society. However, you are a go getter and you've accomplished a lot. These qualities are to be admired in anyone
Your problem has as much of a right on this planet as you the solution does. God loves you and your enemy-the problem. God might save both of you! You might be an enemy to somebody else. What's good for the goose is good for the gander.
In conclusion, self-righteousness was the Prodigal Son's problem.

I absolutely think it is WRONG to think you are even a little better than most other people you meet. Who are you to judge someone on any of that criteria? You have no idea what is going on in other people's lives or what they are doing. It's been my experience that alot of people don't go around shouting to anyone who will listen how great they are or what good they are doing for others. You sound like a snob. And, you sound like you are needing a pat on the back for your "good works".
Basically we are all the same in the eyes of God. Who am I to disagree with my creator.

I love being better than people I meet! It's how your self-esteem explodes and is sure never to drop! As for changing the world, people think that when I claim I'm so great, that all I do is sit on my *** and not do anything. It's exactly the opposite. I'm always changing everything around me. The thing I don't like about being how I am is the prejudice against people like me; since I claim I'm great, there's also so many other people who have, and have been total asses. It's only when I'm granted the chance to prove myself that I can do what I can.

In my opinion, everyone in the world has some extra abilities in one or more than one particular fields which most of the other people do not have. So you may be also better than me in one thing and I may be better than you in another thing. Thus, never boast yourself that you are totally better in the comparison of others. Always think that what abilities you require but you do not possess in your life. And try to develop that abilities. Always be reminded that you should never be totally satisfied and get proud. You always have more things to perform in your short life. So never waste your time sitting just idle. Always get involved in some types of necessary and good works. I have to agree with six cannon...sorry. But that is arrogance and self-love. Isn't your arm getting sore from patting yourself on the back?
Some people do not have the means to get out there and help. I've been through college and I'm intelligent, but I don't flaunt it. I embraced my education as a priviledge. I help where and when I can, but mostly I cannot change many things because I do not have the $$ to do so. However, I feel for people who are in my situation. You have to extend yourself without pretense otherwise you're only bragging about what you have to offer. That isn't cool, or fair.

Yes. that is wrong when you think your better than other people. No matter what, who, where, you are in your life, rich or poor educated or not, it doesn't mean that you are better than everybody else.
having a good education, recycling ,or volunteering doesn't mean your better than me or the rest of the world it just mean that you exceed in certain things in life that others don't have, but other people can have certain things that you may lack, like a humble heart.
your a person who exaggerates your own worth or importance, which i think won't change the world if everybody is like you.

Yes it is wrong if you're carrying you're self like everyone else is beneath you. You may exceed in certain things but that doesn't make you better.maybe some people cant afford to be part of the solution but that doesn't make them part of the problem.
