With an attitude like that, I'd say it's VERY fair.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! Monday for me (Elvis's birthday). You may feel like she was being hard on you but she wants everything to go well and nothing worries us (I'm a mom) like having people over and the house isn't in order. Now you can have your party and all the fun without having to worry about cleaning what you have cleaned already. Let it go and have a great birthday, YOUR CHORES ARE DONE, GIRL!!!! :-)

Well it is one of those things... You scratch my back and I will scratch yours... meaning mom wanted you to clean the house so that she would allow you to have a friend over... Even things like your party are not free... and I guess it was proven that your friend and your party meant alot to you or other wise you would not of cleaned the whole house... responsibility can be a real drag some times...

hahaha my mom used to do the same

does it suck? of course it does but also it
sure it's fair... i know it's ur bday but she probably is providing all the stuff for your party free of charge to you... so call it even... and the fact that you can have a party in your house and invite ppl over is your b-day gift

besides, maybe she only wants the house to be presentable to the guests

think about it, just because it is our b-day doesn't mean we any special rights... it just means we celebrate that we survived on this green Earth one more whole trip/revolution around the sun!

anyway, happy birthday! =)

stop being a spoiled brat she letting you have a party the least you could do is clean up, the house still needs to be clean whether it is your bday or not grow up
