When I was younger, although a coward, I was stubborn. Always ended up fighting (while VERY afraid) with the playground bullies, when other kids way bigger than me would run away.
As a single adult, with REAL danger, easy answer - RUN AWAY!!!!!
Now, married and with 3 kids - I'd kill in a heartbeat.
BTW - Poisoneva.... take that Sig out of your handbag and put it in a holster. If you ever need it, you will be holding off an attacker with one hand and have to draw with the other. For 9 years I was a juvenile probation officer in Gary, Indiana and carried a 9mm Sig Sauer.
Too many people foolishly put handguns in handbags and cars, both of which get taken against your will - that's how 14 yr old gang members get guns. Handguns belong in holsters!!

That's interesting. I think most men would answer by saying eliminate the danger and most women would respond with hide from the danger. It's usually a male response to save the day or be the hero.
And not to break with statistics I'll say

I would see if I can eliminate first but if the danger happens too fast and no time I can only hide and run away making sure people who were with me were right behind me.

hiding would be safe but you cant do anything you want in ur life .. there would be boundaries .. n eleminating would be so risky . either you survive or dont . i would do my best to eleminate , for i want to live my life freely with my love one and i would do what it takes .

The basic psychology answer to this "fight or flight" question can't be answered until a situation causing the reaction happens. I'm sure everyone would love to say they're a "fighter" but the reality is that we are not all fighters.
