I have started dating an Iranian man. I am American. I would like to know if there are any cultural "stereotypes" that might help me to understand him better. Of course, I know that all people are unique, but I am sure that there are some cultural values and differences. Thanks for your help!

Some of the funnest and warmest people I've ever encountered. I went to school with a lot of Iranians in the DC area, then again, this area is quite the melting pot from ppl all over the world. You get to have a bird's eye view, if you will, of what ppl of different cultures are like.
To add, my brother is married to an Iranian woman. All the other girlfriends of his weren't nearly as kind! Very generous, warm, friendly....and cannot say enough good about such ppl.
They make great cuisine, too!
Highly recommended...

If I answered your question as you have ask, you would not agree with one thing I said. You would think I am a racist. My dear you would be absolutely correct.
Having said that, you keep going in the saddened direction you are. In one year ask the same question. I will answer. You most likely will agree with everything I say. Also you will know why I am a racist.

They tend to be very emotional and very conservative.
They are also very fun loving and kind. They tend to have bad tempers however, watch out! The men are very loving and conservative, willing to protect their wives, but very possessive of them.
