Sure they can. It just takes a lot of work to stay together forever. If you respect and love each other and have good communication with each other, it can be done. I know a couple that's been together 35 years and they are still madly in love with each other. I asked them what has kept them together for so long, and their answer was 3 simple words: Love, Respect, and Trust. If you have all 3, chances are that you'll be together for a very long time.

It has happened many of times, but in this day and age the chances are diminished. People or most people don't even know what love is. People get married at a young age and usually cheating happens or there are money problems. Money is usually the case, but that doesn't mean it can't be done it is just not likely.

Absolutely. I believe it's even possible for two people to spend their lives together and actually be in love with each other until the very end.

ABSOLUTELY! I believe in the ethos of "together forever."
My (only set) if parents were together forever...until my mother passed away due to conditions of her (type-1) diabetes. a short while ago.
Although, the regional intrusion of "love 'em and leave 'em" does interfere into what we perceive as SOLID UNIONS because the couple loses focus of what brought them together.
MAKE A COMMITMENT AS A COUPLE TO RE-IGNITE THAT FEELING ON A REPETITIVE BASIS.

Sure, why not? I think a great love is one where you can grow old together with that person. Not to mention you say "Til death do us part" in marriage vows.
