I'm selling my ipod. I have had it in a skin since day one (summer '04) and never taken it out. But, in there it's developed a nasty, sticky resitue, along with the grime on the buttons from using it. I need this to have a nice, crisp finish when I show it, what should I clean it with? I thought about alcohol wipes, but wasn't sure how that'd interact with either the plastic face or the electronics, and ditto with glass cleaner on a microfibre or other soft cloth. Any suggestions?

never use water.
use rubbing alcohol, it evaporates quicker and it will not damage it.
Try not to get it on the click wheel.

I use the same wipes I use for my glasses. Get some from Walmart or a local eye doctor
