Make sure you get a quad band phone and don't use an "authorized T-Mobile store" make sure you use a T-mobile Cooperate store (or order directly from the T-Mobile web site) to get the best value.
I have T-mobile and it works very well for me.
I have never had any problems with the T-Mobile to T-Mobile Min's.
(Just a side note-I tried cingular, nextel, Verizon, and sprint-I have been with T-mobile the longest and they have the best customer service and there billing is also really good and sticks to the plan that you choose.
I hope this helps
Good Luck!!

I like anything that uses GSM. PCS systems suck!!!
TMobile has pretty good rates and decent coverage although pretty spotty in rural areas and their family plans I really like. You can give your child a phone and limit them to so many minutes that would normally make you go over your bill. Their customer service is also open 24 hours a day.
Cingular has excellent coverage thanks to aquiring AT&T's already awsome service but Cingular doesnt have anything better then the rollover minutes. Cingular's customer service is not 24 hours.
PCS systems (Verizon, Sprint, USCellular) are great, just cant transfer your phone to another service their phones are programmed to be not so user friendly.
BTW if you have a United Airlines Rewards card, you can get 5000 miles just by signing up at http://www.mileagepluswireless.com/ and you still get a great deal on the phone if not better then the corporate stores.

We just switched to T-Mobile from Verizon. A Motorola RAZR phone w/2 yr. contract was free after rebates. We just traveled Texas, Ohio, Florida & return with no problems with T-Mobile whatever. Ordered from internet for the best deal. www.letstalk.com for deals and 2 day free shipping.

I had it hated it.
I suggest you borrow someones phone with t-Mobile connection and see if you can use in your home and places you go. I did with my Verizon and i got great results. Unfortunately i did not do it with t-Mobile and was stuck with it for a while till the contract was done. It was cheaper than the other plans but couldn't use it in my house and cut out allot on the expressway.
good luck

There was no signal at all in my area, but their customer service was very understanding & waived the early cancellation fee. We had a 30 day trial & we took like 35 days. They were very nice about it.
I wouldn't buy it off the internet. If it breaks you have to go thru the shipping process & you might be without a phone for a few weeks. If you buy it from a store, you may be able to just go in & exchange it.

I have had much better experience with Cingular than T-mobile, but that's just me because of signal and family plan.

its always better to buy your phone in person if your planning on signing up for a monthly contract since you can ask as many question as you want...about anything, and your not one click away from accidentally signing yourself up for a contract that will weigh down your pocket.
