What is missing from our world today is the universal recognition that the world does not exist. As a student of A Course in Miracles, I believe that we are in a deep dream state and that what we interpret as "real" is, in fact, a mere illusion, an illusion that we've collectively pieced together with the part of our minds that believes we are separate individuals with special personalities and special needs. According to A Course in Miracles, in reality we never separated from God since we are God's creations and "ideas leave not their source." We are all part of the one Christ mind and securely at home in God, although we have not yet awakened to that reality. Since spirit and ego are mutually exclusive, we must learn to gently undo our egos through the process of forgiveness before we can awaken to the fact that we never left the seamless unity of Heaven. In A Course in Miracles, atonement is the realization that the separation from God never occurred. Furthermore, a central premise in A Course in Miracles is that God did not create the world and is not even aware of the dream that we're dreaming.

i think what's is missing from our world is the understanding that other people out there have feelings as well. sometimes it seems that people forget that the enemy has soldiers dying and that neither one of us really wants to kill people. we may have a good reason for fighting but in the end we don't want to hurt the families of the countries. if we took the time to be more understanding and compassionate this world would be way better than it is now.

What is missing from our world today is the questioning of our
leaders in politics, finance, and education by the young .
The whole philosophy of the society in which they live must be questioned. While we believe the societies we live in are
democratic,Christian or Islamic we are wrong they are all too
Hedonistic. What is missing from society today is moral education.
The dangers of rampant Hedonism are not being taught in the schools.Go check how Rome really fell.

Sure, we have all the technology in the world, but as our inteligence grows, our commen sence lessens. We are more worried about money then we are about man-kind alone. We are killing the ozone layer that keeps us alive but we would rather save the money and stress and not do anything about it. Just commen sence things are so overlooked now a days.

After reading the posts prior to mine, I still believe that it is still morality.
Everybody speaks of the "good ol' days" but crime was a problem 200 years ago as well as 2000 years ago.

peace. I think that every human has the right to think peacefully, its just that some choose not to. If we had more peace, even more peace makers, we could be a better earth.
