Yes, blood or mucous, from other forms of contact, (sweat, urine and tears not as likely), about two thirds of documented transmission comes from anal sex. When people get a little too rough, french kiss or whatever, it only takes a single blood cell passing to another person to do the job. The best way is not to have sex with a HIV positive person, and a person who knows they have it and has sex with others not infected is viewed as committing "assault with a deadly weapon". Oh, and condoms reportedly fail 7% of the time, so it's wise to double up if in doubt.

Condoms prevent fertilization AND STDs, but if the condom breaks, or you use a lambskin condom, then YES, you CAN get AIDS.

I heard once that the average naturally occurring hole in a latex condom is 10 microns in diam. The aids virus is about 3 microns in diam. You do the math.

Condoms do help but don't rely on them totally.

ya sure can!
Of course it's always important to use one anyways, because they certaly help, but they can break, have a hole in them, slide off, etc. Also, the virus can be transported through blood so if you each have a cut in an area thats not covered by condom.

Never be with a partner that has aids if you dont. no matter what kind of protection is used if you care about your own. Let aids infected people stay with aids infected people and stop bleeding over to those wo dont. It would die out if they only stayed with eachother. I know that sounds harsh but it has to stop spreading into the innocent.
