Also what material is in it. I mean I pretty sure its advanced applications but I just don't know what. Anybody know? Greatly aprreciated.

Different school name their courses different things. A typical Alg.III class may continue studying the characteristics of functions, complex numbers, and conic sections, look at probability and statistics, get into the algebra of matrices (awesome stuff!), and get into trigonometry, sequences, and series.

No, there are greater stepped forward algebra classes than algebra 2 which you will soak up college yet they are no longer stated as algebra 3 or 4. EDIT: I stand corrected. it style of feels Scanderberry has a stumbled on a school that supplies algebra 3. i've got not heard of colleges offering algebra 3 earlier however.

There used to be algebra 3 but not any more. The math levels goes as follows: pre algebra, algebra, algebra 2, geometry, trigonometry ( usually not a school class), precalculus (math analysis), and Calculus.

Well, in my high school Algebra 3 was mostly a review of Algebra I and II, but it went further in depth into many of the topics.

Yes also known as college algebra. Frequently included as part of pre calculus these days. Back when I was a kid, we had algebra 3 & analytical geometry instead of pre cal.

yes, but it's nothing special. Once you know Alg 2 you're in pretty good shape, that's why I skipped it and went on to precalc/trig
