stapled seems to work much more for me
paper clipped can get messy
sometimes paper clipped can unfold

It depends on what it is. Sometimes I prefer stapled but if I'm going to have to use two sheets at the same time then paper clipped is better to have

Stapled, because paper clips even though they don't leave holes in the paper, slip off eventually.
