There is plenty of outrage, some of it from me. But after reading some of the post on here I am less angry than I was. Maybe some good will come of it? Oh, hell, who am I kidding. This thing will just be the next way to bleed the working class in America of more of their hard earned pay. Some huge corporations will reap billions in profits from it and then tell us how lucky we are to have the real job of not only building it and maintaining it but policing it under impossible conditions and with laws with no teeth that will only benifit the very people causing the problem in the first place. I apologize to the conservatives out there that feel this will be a good thing, I too am a conservative but I just don't buy into this one.

Hello, the United States is part of North America. Why shouldn't we trade with Mexico and Canada? You know, there are other roads that go in and out of Mexico and Canada.

Most of the outrage is among landowners who will be affected by the highway and paranoid tin-foil-hat wearers.

But the international corporations who set US policy stand to make a ton of money, so your outrage doesn't matter.

Ask a few Canadians, I would imagine if they thought it would happen really, they would be outraged. The U.s. is the U.s and Canada is its own country. We can be neighbours but that's all.

The world is organizing according to blocks. It's natural, because corporations are transnational.

Outrage? The age of nationalisms is over. Such kind of "patriotism" marks the surviving Neanderthals. Either, get used to it, or do something about it and get yourself killed.

Humanity moves forward.

The highway will not only help the US, Canadian, and Mexican econmies greatly it will create 1000s of new jobs in all those countires and that means less illegal immigrants/Mexicans in the US. (Unless of course you like having 1000s of Mexicans running into the US everyday).

Did you miss out on the whole NAFTA thing?

I think you need to add more detail to this post before we start a thread
