Any other ways in talking to people playing playstation 2 other than headsets?

Just wondering if I can set up something threw a usb cable to talk and listen to people playing PS2 instead of headset.I'm playing Socom 3 alot and I want to listen to what other people are saying atleast..Any ideas?
