Okay, here are the basics:
1. Foundation-don't buy liquid foundation, get air-whipped stuff because you won't even be able to tell you have it on.
a. buying it: always test before you buy. blend in a color shade you think would look close to your skin tone, and blend it on your neck or right above your jawline near your ear because this is where your natural skin tone is the lightest. If it blends in easily, and doesn't look fake, it's the right shade.
2. Mascara: ALWAYS get waterproof. If you have fair skin, get a brown mascara instead of black because black will look too harsh against your skintone. Other than get, get black mascara. The curled eyelash wands are the hardest to use, so I wouldn't recommend that for you. Just open your eyes wide, and have a steady hand (takes a bit of practice).
3. Mascara (eye makeup) remover: You only need this if you buy waterproof mascara. Get the almay stuff because it's not all slimy.
Other stuff:
1. Eyeshadow: Gold looks good on just about everybody, white and light blue almost never looks good. If you want a more natural look, put it on with your finger. (your eyeshadow will last longer if you put foundation on as a base first)
2. Concealer: Used to Cover up pimples. Just get it one shade lighter than your skin tone.
3. Blush: I don't wear blush, but don't get it in too bright of a color otherwise you will look like a clown. Smile, your cheekapples will jut out a bit. This is where you apply blush. Put on a bit less than you think you need.
4. Eyeliner: Don't wear much of this , but I find the liquid stuff is hard to apply. Eyepencils will give you the most control.
5. Bronzer: The best powder bronzers are the ones that have many different shades in one compact because they will naturally blend in to your skin tone and look natural.
Last tip: If you go for smoky eyes, go for neutral lips. If you go for bold lips, go for neutral eyes.

First of all, don't go to school one day totally different. You will come home hurt from all the mean comments from people. If you want to be more "girly" you should take it slowly. Start with just some clear lip gloss, after a couple of days add on some eyeshadow. Make sure to make the colors look natural.
Remember the key to makeup is to make it look like your not wearing any. They're are specific colors that look nice on different kid of people. The colors depend on your hair and eye color. To find the colors good for you, i recommend visiting this website.

Remember makecup is about feeling good about yourself. Don't put it on for anyone else but you. May cup is bringing out your beautiful features.

That's sweet. How old are you?
Let's see my first time applying makeup. I made sure to keep it as simple as possible...so that people would notice a change, but couldn't put there finger on it. Whatever you do don't get excited and over do it. I would say some light lip gloss...like a light/natural pink to add a little color and shine. Remember that lip gloss goes a long way to enhance your already natural beauty!
If you want maybe try a tad of eyeshadow on the lids. I would always keep the eye color real natural....something to match my skin tone....like a light bronze...something with a small hint of color and some metalic shine.
I don't know if you should wear any eyeliner just yet. That's where you get tricky and need practice to master applying. To this day I see some girls who don't know how to apply eyeliner.
Like this girl:

She's pretty but the eyeliner ruins her true beauty.
When I went to my first homecoming that when I learned. I went to the mall to one of the ladies at the make-up counters and she taught me.
Hope this helps and best of luck!

First of all, don't worry about what they think. Your friends should be supportive with whatever you do, and it's none of your classmate's buisness if you wanna try makeup or not. If you have any older females in the house, like your mom or an older sister ask them for help. Also those "girly" magazines like Seventeen and CosmoGirl usually have tips or whatever too. Go to the library and check out as many as you can find or something. Good Luck.

you know what i have found works well when you are starting out with eye liner... use an eyeshadow, instead of an actual eyeliner, get one a shade or 2 darker than the eye shadow you are going to wear, and apply a thin line along your lid, as close to the lashes as you can get it, then blend lightly with your pinkie. apply shadow, and mascara!
as for lip gloss... find a pretty sheer shade you like, and go for it! stick to the more natural shades at first, then you can get more bold as time goes on.
Hope this helps!

I agree. I think you should start out slow. maybe just a light pink blush and a sheer gloss. i wouldn't start out with eyeliner, because it took me a pretty good while to master that one. i pretty much watched other people and tv, which is what most people do. and a big thing to remember, make-up is prettiest when it's natural. caked on make-up is gross and bad for your skin. and don't worry what you classmates think, do what makes you feel good. :)

well lip gloss on ur lips and the eyeliner is preety hard especially the first time so for under the eye pull ur under eyelid down by using your cheek and put it on the border of it(of the inside of your eye and the outside) and the top just close your eye and put it on, it might tickle a little

if youre first starting out, just do a sheer pink lip gloss, & light pink blush will be just fine to begin with. As far as eyeliner goes, wait to ease into that look, its quite noticable right away. start with natural pink tones & layer.

Lip gloss-

do lip gloss that blends with your skin, and your eyeliner should be very dark brown, because black is to dark, dont worry about blush, unless you have pale skin
