Ok, you work as a maintenance person in a hotel not many people will see you, but to be on the safe side let your boss know you have
tatoo,s by the way what kind of tatoo,s are they? are the tatoo,s offensive if so yes there is a problem, and if you know they are you already know the answer check with your boss

I would not say anything. Have they furnished you with personnel policies? I would review those policies and then make a decision. They cannot let you go for something they have not told you.
People that are afraid of tattoos must be exhausted by the world around them. As long as the job is getting done, I don't care if you are tattooed, pierced, etc. I think many bosses feel the same way. If not, might be worth hanging on for a bit and finding better people to work for.

I think you should ask just to be sure because I also have tatoos and when I first started my job at a hospital I was bothered by what my boss would think so to keep you from worrying about it ask to be for sure but with the type of job you'll be doing I wouldn't think it matters.

nicely i love tats myself (too fowl to get any) and the position I artwork, the emergency crew have merely about no regulations, yet contained in the area the position I artwork, we take care of disillusioned consumers (vet well being middle) and desire a extra professional look and may want to't sport seen ones...considering those consumers are those paying the charges we do not desire them going round saying our crew is frightening or look like a bunch of bikers (no offense to bikers). this is one component to assert you do not have a topic with tats, no human being must be allowed to placed regulations on them, inspite of the indisputable fact that this is yet another component fullyyt once you own a great organization and count number on the consumers to favor to patronize your organization so that you'll in turn pay the human beings.

I would ask the boss right away what the workplace policy is on tattoos. Some are very strict on them showing, some don't care. It will start you off on the right foot and prevent you from being disciplined right off the bat.

I wouldn't worry about it. If you were hired, you were hired on your past experience and references. If your boss doesn't like the tattoo's then it's a personal problem. He can not fire you because that will be descrimination. If he didn't ask on your interview, then you should not forfeit the information.
Besides, you said you are going to be doing maintenance... it's not like you're the hotel manager who is always visible and represents the hotel's reputation.

If they are not offensive, I would just wait awhile. A maintenance guy is supposed to have tattoos. Also, a mustache, a denim vest, a tool belt and a pack of gum rolled up in his shirtsleeve.

Ask first. If they won't allow it, they won't allow it. It will only get you fired three weeks down the line instead - wasting three weeks when you could be searching for another job.
In my view - If you wear long-sleeves at work (as part of the uniform or whatever) it probably won't be a problem.

I would honestly just wear long sleeves for awhile & when the weather gets warm start to wear short sleeves & let him find out then. By then he'll really like you & it just won't matter. Maybe he's got a tat or 2 also.

I would have brought it up during the interview. But since that opportunity is gone, the best thing to do is be non-chalant about it. If you bring it up now you risk losing some respect. Just roll up your sleeves when you have to and if it is an issue he will be sure to bring it up. Don't apologize for not bringing it to his attention.
