I have a board for all my information about my history day topic. But I have little space for a timeline and need a creative way to set up a timeline that won't go on my board and can just be off to the side of my project.
The number of events will probably be around 20 to 25.
My topic is "The Triumph and Tragedy of Julian E. Kulski."
Julian was a Freedom Fighter that helped out in World War II fighting mostly for the people of Poland(his hometown). Julian was only 14 at the time that he really fought against Poland physically but as an Eleven year old he joined the Freedom Fighters.
Just a little background information.
Thanks for your help. =)

One nice way to pack a lot of information into a short space is to put the timeline on the main board and then erect a separate cork board with all the timeline information, then tie it to your main board with yarn in different colors.

So on the main board you just write the dates on a vertical paper (or horizontal if space allows) and then for each of the dates on that timeline a piece of yarn heads off and the information can be as large as you like. That way you don't lose anything on your main board but adding it that way lets the people enjoy the activity of tracing up the yarn to see the events. It also lets them just read on the other board until they find something that is interesting and then trace down to the timeline to see where it fits.

Once you have this in place, you can also tie information on the main board to the same timeline with the same color of yarn.

Good luck with your project. It sounds like you have a really great subject and somebody who has made a difference in his world.

Tuck your time line in between the rest of your information.
Number it so it will be sequential and hand write the important
events. Have the time line wander through out the board from
left to right.

The idea is to be able to see what came first,...then second & so on. If you don't care that people can't tell the order of things,...... Then just randomly plaster everything onto a piece of paper. Like a collage.
