Red is really popular this year. White is especially popular around winter.

I think these days, anything goes. I see so many people look great in all sorts of colors this time of year. I would stay away from pastels though, in my opinion. They go better in the spring.

Plaids are nice this time of year, also red, and leopard prints. Black has made a major come back, but you shoud try to add white or stripes, or color to make it look less gothic.

Are you in the U.S.??? Because it's winter, the best colors to wear are bright ones, they are more unexpected.

darker colors...deep purple, black, greys.
also creamy colors, beige, off white, etc...
i would avoid yellows and oranges, maybe pinks too, just because the seem to be more off summer/spring colors.
when it comes down to it, its what you feel comfy in, but that is my advice to you

i love anything bright. like red, royal blue, purple, etc. something to make it cheery when the weather is very gloomy outside.
