i think it is when people no longer encourage them the way a child is encouraged. instead, people have a way of creating doubts which makes a man scared. a dream then suddenly becomes so distant, stripped by non-believers and haters....but remember, inside everyone is a child ready to come out!!!

The event that determines people to give up on their childhood dreamSS~`I would have to say ~ disappointments~~barriers~~
~hardships that never cease~~ disease~~etc, etc, etc.....
~~~This question makes me extremely sad to think about all the stories I have either read, listened to, or saw in passing along the way~~summarizing ~~yet another demise~~ of someones dreams~~~

It is a specific wounding of a substantial nature. It could be a rape,or incest, all the way though a mother saying you are ugly, or a dad syaing you'll never succeed, and as a child, you believe them whole heartedly.
