I consider him a singer. I don't really care if he did coke or drank in excess or whatever he might have done in his career. I always knew him as a singer before anything.

Yes Elvis was by all definitions a drug addict. Any one who abuses drugs wither they are prescription or street drugs is still an addict . But before all of that he was a great performer in music and movies until the end. Like every addict he let the drugs get the best of him. His music suffered greatly in the end.

Yes, because he died from it and when you are told that you need to stop and you don't there is a problem. I learned that he got started on Speed when he was in the war.
