Just do everything that you do at practice.
And ignore any rumors about how good the other team is. Whenever my team played teams that were supposedly "better than my team" (or that's what pple said), I never saw them as that. I saw them as equal because afterall those players were still at my level and they haven't gotten to the pros so they can't be that great, ya know. And sometimes we'd win and sometimes we'd lose.
Also, don't think that the more you're aggressive, the better. Run aggressively and play aggressively but don't get to physical with your aggression (unless you're playing the post). When playing defense on the perimeter, the opponent is easily intimidated by clean, sound, fast defense. In the post it's the other way around. Just do as you do in practice and you'll be good. Don't try to do anything extreme because you'll just make yourself foolish. Know your limits and don't drain yourself in the beginning parts of the game.

You're thinking too much. Let the game come to you. What I do is I try to visualize that I'm in my backyard playing with my friends or just practicing or playing around. If you keep on thinking of the crowd, the court, the fans, the importance of the game, then you be stiff and tense playing the game and make more mistakes. Let the game come to you, don't try too hard, just relax. Controlled but relaxed. That's the reason why you always do better on scrimmages or backyard ball or practice. It is because you know there is no pressure and because your just playing for fun. So dont put additional pressure on yourself and just go and have fun.

1. When shooting a basket, aim for the inside of the back part of the rim. e.g. If you are standing at the free throw line, you will see the front of the rim and directly behind it will be the back of the rim, try to hit the inside of the back of the rim.
2. When shooting a lay up aim higher toward the top of the backboard, it is more forgiving then aiming lower and closer to the basket.
3. Tomorrow is a little to late to try this, but when you practice, select one or two different places on the floor and shoot the ball at least 25 times in a row from each place.
4. When you are in a game shoot from the places where you practice shooting from.

Seriously why act mean?. That's not going to do anything trust me. Also if you think they're going to be a tough team just think of them as average people like anyone else. Eventually it seems like you can play against everyone. Well that's what helps me in games. That being mean crap isn't going to get you anywhere trust me. One tip think before anything, scan the playing field and try to achieve the best play. That's my advice. One more thing don't be nervous just have fun. =D

Simply R-E-L-A-X. In my bball games i used to get very tense and tight while i was playing. I used to think to much out there. Don't think just play. Always be ready and know what is happening in the game. On defense it's ok to foul at times but stay in control. run as hard as you can and hustle always. It is ok to be nervous but relax and just play.

You have to be ready too play. You have to let the game come to you. My cousin played basketball and he says that you have your best game when you're relaxed and focused. But stay aggressive!!!!!!!!! Good Luck
