sims 2 pets?

is it just me or does sims 2 pets seem a lot more kid friendly? i dunno!

It does. I know alot of younger kids....8ish 9ish have been attracted to the sims. I started when i was 9 but i was a mature 9 year old and i guess they dont want it to be super inappropreate where you focus on dating, kissing and woohoos
