you can always go to a animal shelter and ask to see the small dogs.

Go to the pound and walk around. The little fella will pick you out. You'll have a great story to tell, save a dog's life, and have a great relationship. It may take a couple of trips. The humane Society has great dogs with known history. They do euthanize only as a last resort. Good luck and have a great year.

The first thing is you need to make sure that the pup has a place to play outside. (a safe place) dog don't really do good in apartments no matter their size.
they need a lot of space inside and outside .most humane society won't give dogs to people who live in apartments
the best thing is to get a cat. they love small spaces and the don't have to be walked every two hours.
my cats never go out they hate being outside.
my dog loves outside he has 1/2 an acre to run and play.
he a jack Russell trust me you DO NOT want a hyper dog in a house all by himself all day.Every dog should have a yard.

A beagle is a friendly dog, but the best kind of dog is a mutt.
They usually wind up being the best. Go to the pound and ask
for small dogs to medium dogs. Look at the dogs paws. If they seem large then do not get that dog. Dogs with large paws grow into the paws.

I know you said you didnt want a terrier but...
Yorkshire Terrier.
They make great companions. They are very dependaple on humans though. But if you have the time they are sure great dogs. They are also very very very easy to house train.
Well....Atleast mine was.
And they are small dogs. I live in an apartment thats why i got one.
As for the price males arent half bad and females cost a doozy.
Try to find one at a pound, The SPCA,Or a Breeder.

i could probable supply you a probability :) yet, I quite doubt you reside everywhere close to me ;[ yet in any case, i've got in uncomplicated terms had a million severe boyfriend and that i'm 21. What i seem for in a guy, properly..that record is variety of long lol however the main important issues are: he must be relaxing, humorous, and to handle me top. I frequently do no longer permit a guy understand that i like him because of the fact i'm very shy :/ yet, if I wasn't so shy, i could be extremely flirty, poke him or stumble upon him, i could want to hold close as much as conceivable so i'd desire to get to renowned him extra useful, and that i could hug him, yet no longer too plenty or something. i'm hoping I helped, and stable success with the girls :) i'm specific you would be fortunate sooner or later.

A Samoyed. They're a kind of northern, Eskimo-type dog, but smaller than a Siberian husky, all white and really cute with a short snout and the tail curls up over the back. And they bark really loud!! But the cuteness factor outweighs everything else. And if he gets to be over 20 pounds, put a doggie coat on him and tie helium-filled balloons to it (uniformly spaced, of course).

Try your local animal shelter they have dogs of all shapes and sizes, you will definitely find something there that will suit you and your condo regulations, and best of all you'll be giving a home to an animal in desperate need of one. Not only that but pets that are rescued from shelters are very affectionate and grateful for the second chance that you are giving them.

Why wouldn't you want a Yorkie. They are the best dogs in the world. They are extremely loving, playful & smart.
Honestly, the smaller breeds are usually the fancy and expensive breeds.

Weenie Dog for sure; mini-docks (little smoky). Super protective and early warning system. Very loving. Will eat anything, including small living things in your house, no extra charge. Short hair, little shed. Various coats and colors. They are not extremely long lived. 7 or 8 yrs. But you get a "good friend to me".

Get a chihuahua mix puppy or a pekinese mix puppy. By being a mix the pup won't be expensive and won't get very big (unless the mix is suspected to be a big dog). Check the animal shelter for a good mutt- that's where I got my puppy.
