how can you tell if you have a mucus plug on your cervix?

i think that i might be pregnant but its too early to tell. and upon a physical self exam i noticed a slight change in my cervix. i learned that a plug is formed within 24 hours of conception and i would like to know if you can physically tell its there. i would like to know if i was pregnant asap because the father, my boyfriend just left for the military 4 days ago. and since then i noticed the change. if you have any help please let me know. i would appreciate it emensly!!

you cant tell by feeling if the plug is there--
when you are pregnant-your cervix is high, hard and closed up tight.

If you have questions about it--please see a doctor. Putting your fingers up there can cause a nasty infection & be bad for the baby if you are pregnant

Hmmm I wouldn't think you could feel it, however your cervix does change during pregnancy. For one thing it often becomes blue or purple in colour due to extra blood.

Please don't go searching for the musus plug, it is there for a reason. You don't want to disrupt it.
Best way to tell if you are pg is to take a pg test.
