I have close to 500 songs, we have the karaoke machine and speakers etc. Is there any other thoughts that would be helpfull to get this in gear.

i had bin in the karaoke to,first thing is to be notice by people.make cards to give to people.but the most important is from mouth to mouth that's a good advertising.star to do is go to adult party.old age home but don't charge them because sometime there are people there with there mother and father ones they here you well they will want you for Christmas party or Easter,or for there wedding,anniversary,for all sort of party that's why if you give couple of free parties then you will be none of a lots of person don't forget to move and sing to really fast songs because lots of people like to dance to rock and some likes to dance slow.and don't forget you cant please every one you no but try your best that's all you can do ore you will come wacko.don't forget to put your songs in plastic cause that's going to protect all the songs that you have written the name of the songs and who sings the song,you will have to make about 25 books.i had 50 books to past around.and don't forget to smile that's important even if people seem mean to you.don't take it to seriously cause you will have people like that some time.if you have that dream go a head ans do it.some time you could go to hotels,community centers,hope i respond to your questions a little bit.

My cousin runs a karoke/DJ business. When he first started out, he basically started doing shows once or two weeks at bars in the local area and as popularity grew he started doing shows more times a week and expanding to other bars.
Before you start though, I think it would benefit you to get a lot more songs though, when my cousin started his book of songs was roughly the size of a Manhatten phone directory.

Maybe try kid's birthday parties? Parents are always looking for something different and cost-effective to entertain youngsters and their guests. And the good thing for you is that if one party is a huge success, parents talk to other parents.
